We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused professional to join our team as an Account Manager / Business Development & Marketing Consultant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in relationship-building, strategic thinking, and delivering measurable business growth for clients.

Position Overview

This is a dynamic, client-facing role working closely with the President, Vincent Shank, as well as the Marketing Director, to support and drive business development, client engagement, and service delivery across all divisions.

The successful candidate will act as a key relationship manager and growth driver, identifying opportunities, supporting clients in expanding their operations, and connecting them with solutions such as government funding, marketing strategies, and technology adoption.

This position requires a professional who is equally comfortable in networking environments, strategic discussions, and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Client Growth

  • Generate new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events and RFP response
  • Lead the development of tailored proposals, presentations, and sales materials across diverse sectors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and industry partners
  • Represent VS Group at networking events, trade shows, and conferences (travel required)
  • Typical events include municipal trade shows across Ontario (primarily Southern Ontario), mining industry events across Canada, and occasional conferences in destinations such as Las Vegas
  • Develop and present tailored proposals, business cases, and service solutions
  • Identify client growth opportunities, including access to government funding, grants, and incentive programs
  • Support clients in scaling operations through marketing strategies, capital investment planning, and operational improvements
  • Collaborate with division leads and marketing teams to sharpen go-to-market strategies and service offerings

Client Service & Account Management

  • Manage client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
  • Act as a liaison between clients and internal production teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Maintain clear, professional communication, both written and verbal
  • Understand client needs and proactively recommend solutions across VS Group services
  • Track pipeline activities and performance metrics using CRM and sales tools
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and meet expectations

Marketing & Technology Support

  • Advise clients on marketing strategies, social media, and brand development etc.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute branding, digital marketing, and communication campaigns
  • Support the implementation of technology solutions that enhance client operations and visibility

Strategic & Operational Support

  • Work directly with the President on sales strategy, client development, and key business initiatives
  • Assist management in the preparation and response to RFQs and RFPs
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical, results-driven solutions for clients
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, and pipeline activity

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business development, account management, or marketing (agency or B2B environment preferred)
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills with a high level of professionalism
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to think strategically while executing tactically
  • Familiarity with social media platforms, digital marketing, and basic technology tools
  • Understanding of government funding programs or grant applications is considered an asset
  • Willingness to travel and attend events outside of standard business hours

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
