VS Accounting is looking for an innovative and experienced accounting professional to help its clients with needs of a public accountant. We are currently looking into expanding resources to have a working arrangement with an additional designated, qualified and independent Certified Public Accountant (CPA). The ideal candidate should have an interest in starting their own public accounting firm. The projects will include conducting audits and reviews of charitable organizations, small independent businesses, municipalities, daycares, agriculture, retail, construction companies and other sectors. The scope of work will also include financial statements with an opinion of accuracy or assurance.  

The interested candidate will walk into a turnkey operation with very little overhead cost and a guaranteed income to start. The offer includes an office space and location where the business structure has already been approved by the authorized bodies. It’s a great opportunity for the candidate that wishes to continue working in the field of public accounting, independently, while seeking financial gains for their work and savvy knowledge. While establishing their own client base, the individual’s guaranteed income will be supported by the services provided to VS Group clients.

Your private practice can be whatever you chose to practice and you may accept clients you wish to work with. VS Marketing will assist you with your marketing, branding, social media and website needs.

VS Accounting will sub interesting work to you on a project per project basis, upon agreeable terms, further details will be provided.

VS Accounting is not a licensed public accounting firm providing financial statements as regulated by the Public Accounting Standard. Although we aren’t licensed in this practice, we provide accounting services to the general public. We take pride in both the high quality of our work and high level of integrity we practice with. In fact, some of our team members have years of experience working at some of the largest licensed public accounting firms and joined our team, because they are interested in our work, office attitude as well as work-life balance.

Responsibilities that could be sub-contracted may include:

  • Management Business Advisory,
  • Accounting and Business Management consultation,
  • Business evaluation and business plan evaluation and compilation,
  • Working with municipalities’ CEOsbudget and forecast,
  • Provide support to Junior Accountants and Bookkeepers,
  • Prepare compiled  financial statements and Corporate Year End Tax preparation. Including personal tax preparation,
  • Serving businesses in the Agricultural, Mining and various manufacturing and service sectors  with their accounting, tax and consulting,
  • Provide guidance to in-house Bookkeepers and team members,
  • Ability to Implement internal accounting software,
  • Some bookkeeping may be requited to keep your knowledge up-to-date, and
  • Work with Sage 300, Sage 100, Sage 50, QuickBooks, QBO and POS systems and  our in-house certified members.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience

  • Must have a CPA licence to practice public accounting in Ontario with all qualified requirement hours, etc.
  • Have an independent accountant for file review.
  • Must be willing to be a self-employed individual, who is self-motivated, success and prestige driven.
  • Must have the ability to network and win client’s confidence.
  • Bilingual is an asset.
  • Travel may be required.

Compensation:

Since this is a unique opportunity for an interested candidate and VS Group is truly understanding to all individual needs, we always offer a flexible work schedule customized to the individual situation and needs. Since this person is an independent professional, the arrangement will not be any different. Flexibility and options can be arranged.

The compensation is based on the experience, qualifications and abilities of the candidate. The candidate can easily expect earning potential in a minimum range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually depending on their ability to deliver results. The ideal candidate along with marketing, networking, desire and ability may have earning potential up to $500,000 annually based on a recommended charge out rate of $250.
